She does not fall to far from the tree. She comes from a family that follows a long medical tradition, as her father is a respected neurologist in Colombia and her mother is a registered nurse. P.A.N.D.O.R.A. is planning to attend the next neurological medical conference organized by Dr. Garcia’s father in her native country of Colombia soon.
In 2006, Dr. Garcia interned under the wing of Dr. Nancy Klimas at the University of Miami/VA Hospital CFS clinic. Shortly before the 8th IACFS Conference in Fort Lauderdale she contacted me and we realized how much we had in common as we both are extremely aware of the plight of Neuroendocrineimmune patients and their families. She attended and volunteered during the professional conference and is now joining our family in the capacity of a director. She is a wonderful addition to our board and she will be the person behind the “Ask PANDORA'S DOC”, a "Q & A" column that will every month answer questions that our members or visitors have about CFS, FM and or related illnesses. We regret that we will not be able to reply to every question but we will answer as many as possible on our web site or in our newsletter.
