"Since 1991, Betsy has grown a data base of patient recommended doctors who treat FM. She has also presented at numerous conferences around the country & has moderated & facilitated at ACR annual conferences. She's very strict about the doctors' names she'll accept. She only takes the names of doctors from satisfied patients & not from their friends or families & she doesn't accept self referrals. This practice doesn't guarantee that the patient will adore all doctor(s) she recommends, but it greatly reduces the risk of seeing unsympathetic doctors.

For a doctor recommendation, email Betsy at fibrobetsy@aol.com, and tell her exactly where you live so that she can find a doctor near you. She'll also send you a long informational packet containing up to date FM info. If you have a doctor to share with other patients with FM, send her the doctor's full name & degree, city, state & phone number. Comments about that doctor are also nice to have. There is no fee for this service, but Betsy certainly welcomes donations." 02/10/2009
