A man and woman are wanted in an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Glendale earlier this month.
The incident was reported around 1:10 p.m. on July 8 along the 200 block of North Brand Boulevard, Glendale police said in a alert.
The man reportedly walked into the store with a box of earrings and asked if the store would be interested in buying them.
“He then pulled a hammer out of a black backpack and smashed the screen,” police said.
The man ended up getting away with several showcases of jewelry.
It is believed that a woman who was in the store before the man entered the store was scouting the business.
The man was described as around 20 to 30 years old, 6ft tall with a slim build. He was wearing clear latex gloves, a black mask and a black bucket hat, police said.
The woman was described as being between 20 and 30 years old with long hair worn in a bun.
The police have been released surveillance footage of the two suspects, as well as a suspect vehicle described as a black Audi Q5 from 2018 to 2022 without plates.
Later, authorities also released burglary video.
