Local jewelry store burglarized in elaborate heist, police say

Suspects in Westchester took pages from a film script to break into an area jewelry store in an elaborate heist, police said.

Officers from the Greenburgh Police Department responded to Tarrytown Jewelers on North Central Avenue in Hartsdale at around 12:40 a.m. on Monday, October 4, where a burglary was reported.

The burglary investigation revealed that the suspects walked through the roof of the neighboring business, Noblesse Nail Salon, and then proceeded to descend into the building.

It is alleged that the suspects then made several openings in the nail salon wall to access the jewelry store.

Police said an undisclosed amount of jewelry was stolen in the break-in, and both buildings sustained significant interior and exterior damage as a result of the break-in.

The investigation remains under investigation by the Detective Division of the Greenburgh Police Department.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary has been urged to contact detectives by calling (914) 989-1725.
