A Los Angeles-based businessman and art collector recently placed an order for the world’s most expensive face mask. Isaac Levy, founder and owner of Israeli jewelry brand Yvel, received the order from one of his most loyal customers and friends in the United States and immediately got to work. “We are fortunate to have very loyal customers who appreciate the creativity, commitment and dedication of our master craftsmen. When we were first challenged to create a mask of this magnitude, we were energized by the opportunity and our team came together to create something truly unique and special, yet functional. Unlike all the projects we’ve done before, this order not only involved beautiful jewelry, but also an element of protection,” says Levy.
The stunning face mask was ordered to support the 150 employees of Yvel, Levy and Levy located in Israel and the United States during the pandemic. Levy assembled a team of expert artisans in Israel to help him create the $1.5 million custom face mask. Designed by Levy himself, the face mask is made from 250 grams of pure 18-karat gold, is encrusted with 3,608 natural black and white diamonds, and weighs approximately 210 carats. There is a slot in the mask to insert a disposable N-99 mask, making it a protective and dazzling face covering.
Yvel is a famous luxury jewelry brand known for incorporating the rarest natural pearls and diamonds into its unique works of art. For 35 years, the brand has been making fine jewelry that is second to none and now Yvel has made the most expensive face mask in the world.
