Man charged with attempted burglary at jewelry store: North Haven police


NORTH HAVEN, CT – A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of a jewelry store in North Haven earlier this year, police say.

Police responded to Washington Avenue around 4 a.m. on January 25 for the attempted burglary.

Arriving officers found a window with significant damage but said the suspect had not entered the store, police said.

Investigators learned that a similar incident had occurred that morning in Berlin, police said.

With the help of the Berlin Police Department, North Haven detectives identified Juan Troncoso Garcia as a suspect.

Police say detectives linked Garcia to the scene and an arrest warrant has been approved.

Garcia was found and arrested by Massachusetts authorities on April 2. After waiving the extradition, North Haven detectives flew Garcia back to Connecticut on April 28, police said.

Garcia was charged with attempted criminal burglary third degree, conspiracy to commit burglary third degree, criminal attempted robbery first degree, conspiracy to commit robbery first degree, criminal mischief in second degree and conspiracy to commit a second degree felony. nonsense.
