Heidi Lowe Gallery offers two different 2.5 hour jewelry making classes every Monday and a beach glass ring workshop once a month this summer.
Each course is designed for fun, success and safety. Students will learn how to make jewelry from start to finish and how to wear their own handmade jewelry at the door.
A beach glass ring workshop is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 12. The cost is $ 245. Students will learn how to make a ring and crimp a piece of silver beach glass. The instructor will teach techniques such as sawing, filing, welding and adjusting the scope. Participants can choose from a selection of beach glasses provided. Registration closes on Wednesday June 9.
A course on intention rings will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14. The cost is $ 120. Each student will come up with an Intent Word that embodies what they want to attract, cultivate, or focus on in life. Students will learn the basic metalworking techniques to make a silver ring with their word stamped on it and leave with a portable reminder of their intention. Registration closes on Friday June 11.
A stacking rings class will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. on June 14. The cost is $ 130. Participants will form a stack of three rings. Students will begin by learning how to size their rings. Then they will make three different rings using techniques such as texturing, forming and welding. Registration closes on Friday June 11.
No experience is necessary. Participants must be at least 13 years old.
