Through the brand, co-founders Natasha Peck and Dylan Lee have joined forces to create collectible jewelry pieces designed to “last beyond a lifetime,” according to Peck.

The brand recently opened a store at 2956 Granville Street, and we caught up with Peck to find out more.

Q. What is the Kingdom?

A. Kingdom is a mix of modern iterations of vintage pieces and heirlooms found from around the world, with an emphasis on traditional Navajo and Southwestern styles. … Addressing designs that range from biker to bohemian, each style plays with a mix of eras that reflect a contemporary spirit. Most of our jewelry is unisex and includes chunky gemstone rings and pendants, intricately crafted and fashionable metal pieces such as chain necklaces, dagger earrings and bracelets, as well as a large selection of vintage jewelry and signet rings.

The Engagement Series is our newest collection and we’re proud of it. Primarily made from high quality metals and colorful gemstones, we were inspired by the spontaneity and beauty of love and the idea of having a ring ready for unforeseeable love events.

Q. What makes it unique?

A. We are very proud of the fact that the Kingdom family has authentically evolved into an amazing and loyal community that continues to inspire us and remind us of why we started in the first place – an act of injecting heritage beauty into the world and empower those in what they wear.

Our community is incredibly unique and teeming with talented artisans around the world, with whom we collaborate and support their efforts and charitable causes. It’s all in the name, Kingdom; an empire of brilliant individuals who make jewelry their livelihood, their passion and celebrate the wonders of the natural world.

Q. Who is the target customer?

A. There is something for everyone; no matter where they live, whatever their age and stage of life and, most importantly, the style towards which they gravitate. Each collection can be mixed and matched to create a jewelry story unique to the wearer.

Q. What is the price range for parts?

A. Prices range from $ 65 for a minimalist pair of silver hoops to $ 9,000 for an authentic platinum ring encrusted with blue sapphires and Art-Deco diamonds.

Q. What made this the right time to open a store?

A. A new store opening had been in the works for a while now, as we wanted a space that speaks to the Kingdom brand while keeping us in the neighborhood where we are rooted. The last few years have brought incredible growth and we just got too big in the process. “Seize the opportunity,” they say, and that’s exactly what we did.

Q. What can shoppers expect in store?

A. The idea was to incorporate that Art-Deco charm that we love, a little pinch of boho, and with a touch of French pastry. The sights, sounds and scents are truly magical, where you will be greeted by textiles, handmade hats and the best selection of jewelry and mineral specimens. It’s all about the experience and we want to make it memorable, including for those who find their room forever.
