Westchester jewelry store robbed in elaborate burglary, police say

Westchester suspects extracted pages from a film script to break into an area jewelry store as part of an elaborate burglary, police said.

Greenburgh Police Department officers responded to Tarrytown Jewelers on North Central Avenue in Hartsdale at around 12:40 p.m. on Monday October 4, where a burglary was reported.

The burglary investigation revealed that the suspects broke through the roof of the neighboring business, Noblesse Nail Salon, and then lowered themselves into the building.

It is alleged that the suspects then made several openings in the wall of the nail salon to access the jewelry store.

Police said an undisclosed amount of jewelry was stolen in the burglary and both buildings suffered significant damage inside and out as a result of the break-in.

The investigation is still under investigation by the Greenburgh Police Department’s Detective Division.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary has been urged to contact detectives by calling (914) 989-1725.
